Rotary Interact Club

Thank you for taking the time to visit our Rotary Interact page. Our main goal is to inspire everyone to contribute to community service efforts, both locally and internationally.

Please consider joining Rotary Interact Club! Meetings are held almost every MONDAY after school, in Mrs. Kaschalk's room, C317.

There is no club fee, it is an opportunity to make a lot of friends, and a chance to serve both locally and nationally!

The Rotary Interact Tradition will continue this year as we plan to complete one community project and one international project. Please go see Mrs. Kaschalk in (C317) if you happen to have any questions or concerns.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate in contacting our Co-Presidents Marina StLouis and Eric McKernan, or the Advisor of Rotary
Mrs. Kaschalk.

Shelter Box

In 2014-2015, we were fortunate enough to raise enough money through fund raising to purchase two shelter boxes.  Shelter box is a disaster relief effort.  Our shelter boxes were deployed to Tanzania in 2015.

In the 2016-2017 school year, the Rotary Interact Club held fundraisers to raise enough money to purchase 10 bicycles for the organization Pedal 2 Prosperity.  Each bike allows 2 young women to get to school.  This group helps young women get to school using a bicycle, who otherwise would not have the opportunity to attend  due to the distance away and having no transportation.

Cupcakes for Coats- Community Project

We have started the tradition of doing Cupcakes for Coats as our local community service project. Students bring in gently used, laundered or new winter coats to school and receive a cupcake for every coat they donate! All coats then get donated to The Grace Centers of Hope! The coats are given to those in need free of charge!

Life Straw- International Project

In the upcoming months, we are starting to plan for our international event.  This year we have chosen to do Life Straw.  For every $20 raised we will buy a Life Straw that will provide one school child in Africa with clean water for an entire school year! The crisis of unclean water is a real issue in developing countries so we believe it's a great issue to bring awareness to and help.  If you have any ideas or would like to donate to this cause please email our Advisor Mrs. Kaschalk (listed under files). Feel free to check out the website (Life Straw was featured on ABC News as well!)
