How do I register?
What classes do you currently offer?
What if the class I prefer is full?
If the class section that you prefer is full, you may enroll in that class and be placed on a waiting list. At that time you will fill out all of the necessary information and enter your payment method, however, you will not be charged until you are added into the class. You will be contacted if an opening in your desired class section becomes available.
What ages does your program serve?
Do you follow the Rochester Community Schools calendar?
The Pre-K classes follow the RCS School calendar for holiday closing and staff development days.
More details can be found under Programs.
How is tuition calculated? When is it due?
There is a $75 non-refundable registration fee for each child. Tuition is set as an annual cost. We divide the total annual cost into equal payments for all programs so that families have a consistent invoice. This provides balance over the year rather than a large invoice for months with five weeks and a different invoice in months where there are only two weeks of school.

Do you offer free preschool?
Yes!
The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is a free, or low cost, preschool program for children who turn 4 on or before December 1st and whose families meet eligibility guidelines. Priority is given to children who turn 4 on or before September 1st and whose families meet eligibility guidelines.
For more information, please visit the RCS GSRP Page.
What is your illness policy?
The following policy is taken from our Parent Handbook:
Health Guidelines
Regardless of the precautions taken at home or school, your child may become ill during the course of the school year. If your child becomes ill you will be called and asked to pick up your child. If you are unavailable, we will call someone on your Emergency Card. The child should be picked up within one hour of being notified. If your child has been absent due to a contagious disease, such as strep throat or pink eye, you may be required to present a doctor's note documenting that the child is able to return to school.
There are times when a child should not be sent to school. These times include when a child has:
- A fever (temperature of 100 degrees or more)
- Child must be fever free for 72 hours (without fever reducing medication) in order to return.
- Diarrhea or vomiting
- Child must be symptom free for 24 hours in order to return.
- Discharge or redness of the eyes
- Discharge from the ear
- Green or yellow discharge from the nose
- Persistent or productive cough
- Sore throat
- Skin rash
- Ringworm (exclusion is not necessary unless the contact with others could promote spread), lice, hand-foot-mouth or any other communicable disease listed on the Oakland County Health Division Communicable Disease Reference Chart.
Parents must notify the school if a child has a communicable disease or an extended illness. When applicable, the school will notify families of an illness. A doctor's note for treatment of a communicable disease or an extended illness may be required for re-admittance to school.
What do I do if my family takes an extended vacation while the program is in session?
In the event of an extended vacation you have two options:
-
Continue to pay tuition so as to ensure your child's spot in the class upon your return.
-
Withdraw the child from the program. Per the Withdrawal Policy a 14 day notice is required. If there is space in your child's class when you return, you may register for the same class by calling the office at 248-726-3022.
