Reuther Track

Coach Bob Babiarz was an integral member of the Reuther Track coaching staff from 1988 to 2005.  On April 26, 2006, Coach Babiarz lost his battle with melanoma, and Reuther lost a valued family member.  In his coaching career, he helped countless distance runners achieve their full potential through solid coaching and leading by example, with over 65 completed marathons.  Reuther thanks him for his tireless dedication and love of track and field.  He is greatly missed by the Reuther community.

The Rochester Community Schools Foundation graciously set up the Bob Babiarz Memorial Flagpole fund.  People can still donate to this fund by going to the district website and finding the link for the RCS Foundation.  The Reuther Track Team would like to thank Rocket Enterprise for installing the flagpole; Mr. Mike Chisolm for laying the concrete and installing the memorial marker; Potere-Modetz Funeral Home for putting the memorial marker together; all of the people that donated to the Bob Babiarz Memorial Flagpole fund; and to Mrs. Rossell, Mrs. Bodell, and the 2007-2008 Reuther Student Council for helping fund this special project.
