The Association of School Business Officials International Meritorious Budget Award (MBA) recognizes school districts in the United States and Canada for excellence in school budget presentation, setting a high standard for transparent budget development. For the 2017-2018 school year, Rochester Community Schools was one of 140 school districts in the United States and Canada to receive the award. There were only two other districts in the State of Michigan. For the 2018-2019 school year, Rochester Community Schools has again earned the distinction.

Business & Finance

The Business Division is made up of the Office of the Assistant Superintendent for Business, Budget & Finance, Facilities Operations, Food Services, Human Resources, Mail Room, Payroll, Purchasing, Student Enrollment and Transportation. Each department works independently but supports the division as a whole. The Business Division provides the district and the community with a variety of services, performed with maximum efficiency.

The Budget & Finance Office consists of budget and financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, grant reporting, debt service, banking and investments, and auditing.
