Key Features

Class Code

  • Unique code students must type in to join a class. Class codes are 6-7 characters, and use letters and numbers.

Stream

  • The Stream is a chronological list of the latest updates, assignments, and discussion posts from the class. Teachers set the student’s permission for the Stream. If enabled, this is where students can pose questions or share a resource. The Stream is the social hub of the classroom

Upcoming

  • On the left-hand side of the stream is the Upcoming section. This notifies students of any upcoming assignment they still need to complete

Classwork

  • The Classwork page is where students can access assignments, classroom files, or materials. The materials added to the classwork page may look different in each class.

  • Students can also find the link to their Classroom Google Calendar in the top right-hand section of the Classwork page. Students can click on the calendar icon and it will take them to the calendar so they can see when assignments are due.

  • The link to the Class Drive folder is also located in the top right-hand section. It is essentially a digital binder that contains all the classroom materials and documents. Students can click on the folder icon and it will open their classroom folder in Drive

Classes (Home)

  • The classes page is a collection of cards that lets students see all the classes they are enrolled in. Students can click on the specific class they want to enter and return to the classes page when they are ready to enter another class.
