Pay to Participate

REGISTRATION FOR PAY TO PARTICIPATEThe Online Payment Link-Eleyo (above) will open for Pay to Participate August 1st for fall sports, November 1st for winter sports, and March 1st for spring sports. Payment is due after your athlete is selected to a team. High School and Middle School Athletes: A payment receipt should be uploaded to Final Forms before the first scheduled game.

FINANCIAL HARDSHIP

A reduction in the Pay to Participate fee for athletics will be available to students with financial hardship. Participants in the RCS Free or Reduced Lunch program qualify for this reduction, and this information will be kept confidential. Student-athletes who qualify for the Free Lunch Program do not pay a fee for their participation in athletics. Those who qualify for the Reduced Lunch Program pay 25% of the Pay to Participate fee (see chart, right).

To receive reduced fees for athletics, students who qualify for Free & Reduced Lunch should ensure that their family has completed the Consent to Share form included in the Free & Reduced Lunch program application (see button link at the top of this column). This form needs to be completed and renewed each school year. Send completed forms to Chartwells, RCS Foodservice, 1402 W. Hamlin, Rochester Hills, MI  48309, or call Sylvia Brown at (248) 726-4602.

Once these forms have been processed by Foodservice, and the student plans to participate in a sport, please call the Enrichment Dept. at (248) 726-3165 to request an override for the full pay to participate fee when paying the fee online in Eleyo.

Rochester Area Youth Assistance (RAYA) also offers financial support for sports, classes, summer learning, etc., to those students in grades K-12 who qualify. Parents/guardians can fill out an online application at www.raya-mi.org or call (248) 656-3558 for more information.

REFUNDS

There will be no refunds of the participation fee unless student-athletes suffer a season-ending injury before the midpoint of the season that precludes them from participating in half of the regularly scheduled contests. A medical authorization letter from a physician must accompany any such request. Requests for refunds should be sent to the building athletic director via email before the midpoint of the season.

PLAYING TIME

Paying the participation fee in no way guarantees contest playing time for an athlete.

MHSAAStudent-athletes are required to meet all obligations of the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA), the Rochester Community Schools Student Handbook, and the Student-Athlete Code of Conduct.TEAM ROSTER MINIMUM

A minimum number of team participants will be necessary for each sport team, or the respective team may be discontinued.

CONTEST ADMISSION FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS (“A” PASS)

Student athletic passes (“A” passes) are available to RCS students only in August through the school’s online registration system. An “A” pass is $60 and admits a student into any district home athletic event for that school year. The pass can be purchased at:

Adams: https://rochesteronline.ce.eleyo.com/course/2850/school-event-fees-2023-2024/ahs-a-pass-all-event-athletic-pass-2023-2024

Rochester: https://rochesteronline.ce.eleyo.com/course/2843/school-event-fees-2023-2024/rhs-a-pass-all-event-athletic-pass

Stoney Creek: https://rochesteronline.ce.eleyo.com/course/2939/school-event-fees-2023-2024/schs-a-pass-all-events-athletic-pass-2023-2024

High schoolers who buy an “A” Pass will be given a card to show the photographer before having their student ID photo taken, and their ID will be printed with a large capital letter “A” that will allow that student to be admitted to home athletic contests at Adams, Rochester, and Stoney Creek high schools for the school year. Students cannot use their “A” pass for OAA and MHSAA tournaments, at Suburban Ice Rochester Ice Arena or Oakland University, and must pay the regular admission fee.

CONTEST GENERAL ADMISSION

Rochester Community Schools has moved to an efficient digital ticketing service, GoFan, for all home games at all three high schools. Using this new online process, all spectators and fans are highly encouraged to purchase home game tickets in advance. Although an individual will be available at the gate to assist with a credit card payment, the inefficiency of this process could cause lengthy delays.

No cash will be accepted for ticket sales; however, families can still use cash to purchase concessions.

To purchase tickets online, please use the following links:

Rochester High School: https://gofan.co/app/school/MI10070

Stoney Creek: https://gofan.co/app/school/MI10098

Adams High School: https://gofan.co/app/school/MI9877

Many of our opponents use GoFan as well. Ticket sales for away games may also be accessible through the links.

Admission details are as follows:

  • Children ages 10 and under, and adults ages 62 and over, are free.
  • Individual tickets are $5.00, plus a $1.00 service fee
  • Multi-game passes of 15 tickets are $45.00, plus a $3.25 service fee. Multi-game passes can used during the school year at any Rochester Community Schools athletic event, except Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) post-season games.
  • Tickets must be used by June 1 of the same school year that the ticket was purchased.
  • Service fees are paid by the ticket purchaser. All sales are final.

Thank you for supporting student athletics at Rochester Community Schools. We look forward to joining you as we cheer for our Highlanders, Cougars, and Falcons!
