Thank you for your interest in working as a paid coach for Rochester Community Schools! Our paid coaching job listings can be accessed via the above link. Simply click "apply" on the right-hand side of the column and follow the instructions about how to establish your account.
Once you have been offered a position, you will be sent information about how to complete your new-coach paperwork, which must be submitted online. There are several documents requiring original signatures, however, that must be printed out and turned in (via appointment only) to the District Athletics department. New-hire coaches are fingerprinted with the "SE" (School Employee) designation when they go to have their fingerprints done. Our district Agency Code is 1664T, which should be input online when registering for a fingerprint appointment. Information about how and where to register for fingerprinting will be in your online new-hire paperwork.
Current District employees who are interested in coaching do have to apply online but are not required to complete the new-hire paperwork since they are current employees with active fingerprints. Your building athletic director will provide more information about the new hire process. We look forward to having you on board!
We appreciate and value those who seek to support our student-athletes in a volunteer coach role. All volunteer coaches for Rochester Community Schools must be fingerprinted and then cleared by Human Resources before working with our students. To access our Volunteer Coach paperwork packet, please click on the link above, which will take you to our Human Resources main page. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and under the "Volunteer Documents" banner, please click on "Volunteer Coach Packet".
Review the packet's cover page; determine which scenario listed applies to your situation; and complete the applicable paperwork. It is essential that volunteer coaches are fingerprinted with the "SV" (School Volunteer) designation when they go to have their fingerprints done. Our district Agency Code is 1664T, which should be input online when registering for a fingerprint appointment. Information about how and where to register for fingerprinting is in the Volunteer Coach Packet.
Once volunteers are fingerprinted and cleared, those volunteer prints will remain active for Rochester Community Schools as long as the volunteer coach completes an ICHAT every school year. Returning volunteers who have been printed and fail to submit an annual ICHAT for each consecutive year worked will require reprinting.
All volunteer paperwork should be returned to Lisa Pamplin in the Human Resources Dept., RCS Administration Building, 501 W. University Drive, Rochester, MI, 48307.
