Hart Middle School has been named a 2019 Michigan School of Character by Character.org to recognize its use of character development to drive a positive impact on academics, student behavior and school climate. Only three schools in the state were recognized with this honor in 2019. “Our school culture includes building character—qualities that inspire honesty, integrity, courage and trust. Character is embedded in our common language, curriculum and daily interactions,” said Hart Principal Allison Roberts. “We started this journey four years ago, and it’s as important to us as the content we teach.”
