Rochester Community Schools has been awarded a five-year districtwide accreditation through AdvancED, a leader in school improvement services. In collaboration with the Michigan Department of Education, AdvancED uses rigorous research-based standards to examine the policies, programs, practices, learning conditions, and cultural context of RCS to determine our level of success in meeting the needs of all students. The accreditation helps ensure coherency and continuous improvement across the district. “Rochester Community Schools represents what’s great about public education when the community is behind it and the stakeholders are involved,” said Superintendent Dr. Robert Shaner.
