Expanding the district’s global awareness initiatives, 11 students and five RCS staff visited China to learn about the country’s history, culture, educational system and economy. The group visited Shanghai, Beijing, Tiananmen Square, the Great Wall, and other areas. The highlight was building relationships with the students and faculty at Zhangjiagang Chenyang School, our RCS sister school that recently participated in an exchange program with Hart and Van Hoosen. While in China, RCS visitors experienced classroom learning, collaborative discussions, language lessons, and celebrations. Students each enjoyed a two-night homestay with a Chinese family, providing immersive experiences and lifelong memories.
