The Cougar Marching Band performed their halftime show for the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association’s District Marching Band Festival at Bloomfield Hills High School on Wednesday, October 17th. Each band performing at the festival is given a rating from 1 to 5 (with 1 being “Superior”) in Music, Marching, and General Effect. The Cougar MB received a 1 in all categories, earning them an overall “Superior” rating. This year’s halftime show featured The Music of John Williams and included selections from Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, and Harry Potter. Featured sections included the SCHS Percussion Section and Color Guard, and featured soloists Lindsey May (Mellophone), Angelo Grupido (Trumpet), Franklin Volcic (Trumpet), Nick Anason (Trombone), Meaghan Ryan (Baritone), and Brian Wiik (Tuba).
