Detailed description: To help provide more individuals with the opportunity to get a solid education, Capital Auto Auction is awarding a scholarship to support students pursuing STEM-related degrees.

Value of scholarship: $1,000 (1 winner), $250 (2 runner ups)

Qualifications: To qualify, undergraduate students must be majoring in a STEM field of study (or related field) as well as attending an accredited college or university.

Kelsey’s Law Distracted Driving Awareness Scholarship

2019 KELSEY'S LAW SCHOLARSHIP OVERVIEW

In October, $5,000 worth of scholarships will be awarded to Michigan students. Applicants are asked to submit a persuasive message that shows how you would convince young drivers to reduce distractions while driving.

Finalists will be notified by October 1st, 2019 and winners will be announced the week of October 22nd, 2019.

Messages may be in the form of a video, graphic or Tweet that resonates with teens and influences their driving behavior.

Entries will be judged and critiqued on the following factors:

Ability to persuade others, especially teen drivers, to stop texting while driving. Ability to grab the attention of your friends, peers and family. A clear and understandable message. Demonstration of your personal creativity and ingenuity.

Awards will be applied toward tuition at any university, college or technical school in the U.S. for higher education. Funds will be sent directly to the school within one year of the scholarship deadline.

Who may apply:

Open to 11th and 12th grade students (Class of 2019 and 2020) attending any public or private Michigan high school (finalists will be required to provide proof of enrollment with a student I.D. or transcript).  Applicant must be a Michigan resident with a valid Michigan driver's license. If under the age of 18 by October 1, 2019, a parental consent form must be signed by a parent or guardian if you are selected as a finalist.

ROTC Scholarships

ROTC is offered at many colleges.  The program offers full tuition, books, and a monthly stipend in the freshman year.  If you accept the scholarship, you have a commitment for active or reserve duty when you graduate.  Currently that commitment is three to four years.  Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines all have ROTC programs.

Senior Planning Social Work & Eldercare Award

Description: Scholarship is open to U.S. citizens and permanent residents who are high school seniors or undergraduate students with less than 90 credit hours. Applicant should be working towards a degree in social work with the intent on assisting seniors and the elderly upon graduation.

University of Michigan-Flint Freshmen Merit Scholarships

Our *automatic" merit scholarships range from $3000-$7000 a year. These offers will continue for Fall 2019 students until our August 20, 2019 deadline.  Students who wish to be considered for full-rides, need to have a completed application and official transcripts/test scores submitted by December 1, 2018. University of Michigan Phi Sigma Kappa Scholarship

Phi Sigma Kappa Legacy Scholarship

For over one hundred years, Phi Sigma Kappa has been dedicated to the betterment of the

individual, the university environment, and the world. This dedication is based upon the three

cardinal principles of the fraternity: Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Character. These cardinal

principles have led to the development of leadership skills, a passion for service to others as well

as the community, and the strengthening of academic abilities within its members. Today, the

Delta Deuteron Chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa hopes to develop and sustain these same values

within the students of the University of Michigan.

The Delta Deuteron Chapter will award four or more $500 scholarships and four or more

$100 scholarships to current seniors in high school who satisfy the following requirements:

• The student must be attending the University of Michigan in the Fall of 2019

• The student is available for an interview with the Executive Board of the fraternity

• The student embodies the values of the Delta Deuteron Chapter as well as Phi Sigma
