What is Founders Day?
Founders Day is a reminder of the substantial role that PTA plays locally, regionally, and nationally in supporting parent involvement and working on behalf of all children and families. It's a time to reflect and take pride in our many accomplishments, and to renew our commitment to be a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for parents, and a strong advocate for public education.

How do we celebrate in Rochester Community Schools?
The PTA Council Founders Day Committee, along with representation from all 20 schools, hosts a Founders Day Celebration with basket raffle. Each school recognizes three (3) individual volunteers. There are district level awards that an individual can be nominated for: John Schultz Leadership Award, Distinguished Service Award, and Council Member of the Year Award. An individual or a group can also be nominated for the Bright Ideas Award.

Adams PTSA recognizes three individual volunteers (a staff member, parent and student).  Nominees must be PTSA members.

Want to volunteer at Adams? - looking for committee members to help with the event, put together Adams gift baskets, and bake treats for the reception.  Contact Founder's Day Chairs:  Marion Wehner (wehnerm3@yahoo.com) or Angela DiBartolomeo (angie6168@gmail.com)
