Committee Highlights:

  • Recyclebank grant recipient for refilable water bottle filling station
  • Received 2 free trees (grant) which were planted by Adams Biology students
  • Received Recyclebank grant for classroom recycling bins and battery/ink recycling containers
  • Volunteered at the Rochester "America Recycles" event in November; collected used items for recyling
  • Organized and led effort for Adams shoe collection, "Million Shoe March"
  • Student Co-Chair Projects included: Comprehensive water bottle recycling program with Marching Band at home football games; "Campus Clean Up" in honor of Earth Day; Informational table and Earth Day Pin distribution during lunch hours
  • Recruited student volunteers for Rochester Earth Day event
  • Posted informational flyers/posters at Adams regarding Earth Day and reducing plastic pollution

Congrats - Adams High School once again was awarded the highest honor

Battery and Ink Cartridge Recycling

The Green Committee collects and recycles batteries and printer ink cartridges throughout the school year. Remember to drop your batteries and printer ink cartridges off in the Main Office for recycling. We also collect used Cell Phones for Soldiers through Battery Giant.
