Exchange Students

A student wishing to study in RCS as an exchange student must meet the following requirements:

  • Apply through an approved exchange program
  • Entering 11th or 12th grade, and not have already graduated
  •  Applications are accepted March – May or until allotted spots are filled

Determinations will be based on the student’s application including the following:  academic record, recommendations, interviews, response to short answer questions, and English proficiency levels.

Accepted International exchange students attending the District are subject the same policies and administrative regulations as other students.

Students are either accepted as J-1 (cultural exchange, non diploma seeking) or an F-1 student (diploma seeking, if able to meet RCS graduation requirements).  A description of each type of student exchange is below.  Regardless of VISA status, all students are expected to attend school regularly and maintain passing grades in all courses.  Specific courses of study are not guaranteed
