Work Based Learning
Business Capstone or Practicum
Business Capstone, formerly known as Co-op, can be 5th&6th hour or just 6th hour and is a working class. This class helps you gain work experience in the career area you are pursuing and you get paid for it. This class is a semester class and requires you to take a concurrent business class that same school year.
Practicum is similar to Business Capstone, and runs 5th &6th hour only. The difference is this is just an internship and is not paid, but you still get the same experience you would get in Business Capstone.

Other Opportunities
Aside from Business Capstone, Practicum, and Ed Careers, you can job shadow a career interest to gain more insight on the duties of a person in that career area.
RCS has made connections with numerous businesses around Rochester to allow for students to partake in job shadowing. Students do not have to commit to a class to work, which allows for more time in school to complete the graduation requirements.
