Karen Malsbury, Director of Career Readiness, CTE, and CFE
Mrs. Malsbury has served Rochester Community Schools at Rochester High School for over 20 years, first as a technology facilitator and then as a Business teacher. Mrs. Malsbury has served at Oakland Schools ISD as a Referent Lead in Business and Accounting for the last 5 years and is active in the greater Rochester community through her association with the Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Development Authority. As a Business teacher, Karen has built strong relationships with multiple local businesses, nonprofits, and local government entities and is well positioned to take this vital area of the district into a new and exciting direction of career readiness and CTE. Mrs. Malsbury holds a BA from University of Wales, post Graduate Certificate of Education in Information Technology from Warwick University, and a Masters in Administration of Career and Technical Education from Western Michigan University. In addition to her degrees, Ms. Malsbury is certified as a Global Career Development Facilitator. When not in the community creating a career network, Malsbury can be found supporting her daughters, Hannah and Holly, Hannah lives in England and is pursuing a degree apprenticeship at Bentley Motors. Holly is a junior at Stoney Creek High School participating in sports, philanthropy, and career and technical student organizations. Karen can also be found traveling the world with her husband, Simon.

Jennifer Diemert, Career Readiness Consultant
Jennifer is currently serving as the Career Readiness Consultant, supporting the district's CTE and career readiness objectives for kindergarten through 12th grade. This is her second year in this role. Previously, she spent her entire career teaching S.T.E.M. at Van Hoosen Middle School. She graduated from Michigan State University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, focusing on integrated science. She returned to Michigan State University and completed her Master of Arts in Educational Technology in 2020. During her six years of teaching in Rochester Community Schools, she also served as a volleyball coach and robotics advisor. With her passion as an educator and Career Readiness Consultant, Jennifer brings a blend of educational expertise, innovative STEM teaching experience, and strong mentoring skills to effectively support the Rochester CoLab, community partnerships, and career readiness experiences for all RCS students. In her free time, she enjoys spending time on the lake and walking her dog.
