Strategic Planning, Year One Deliverables
Process overview
Strategic plan deliverables were derived from the Rochester Community School District's vision document, which reflects a collaborative effort among all stakeholders, inclusive of RCS students, teachers, administrators, staff, parents, caregivers, recent graduates, community members and the Board of Education, in partnership with G&D Associates.
145 deliverables were written and agreed upon by strategic planning workshop participants.
Following the G&D process, deliverables were then prioritized through a collaborative consensus process with the opportunity for individual input. A “1” represented the highest priority and should be worked on in the next twelve months, a”2” indicated work in year two of implementation, and an “X” indicated work after year two.
Prioritized deliverables were then distilled into more specific and manageable project plans that include specifics regarding budget, point of contact, clear milestones, and SMART goals that are both qualitative and quantitative. These projects make up the twelve-month strategic plan.
Year One
The following 23 deliverables identify the capacity, priorities and management structure for specific strategic planning projects during the first year of implementation. The information is fluid and will be reviewed for relevance, necessary adjustments, and prioritization as milestones and measures meet the success criteria. A printable copy of the year-one deliverables is available.
