August 2014

Dear Students and Parents/Guardians:

If you are new to West Middle School – WELCOME!! If you are a current family, we can't wait to see you again! We would like for the start of our 2014-2015 school year to go as smoothly as possible. So, in this letter we have highlighted some of the important items that will contribute to that smooth transition. Let's begin with the Student Registration Day.

Student Registration

Student registration is an important day for all students to attend, and is scheduled for:

Thursday, August 21 – 8:30 – 11:00 a.m. – 6th grade students last name beginning A – L – Cafeteria

12:00 – 2:30 p.m. – 6th grade students last name beginning M – Z – Cafeteria

(Due to a conflict in their schedule, Kaiser Studio will be unable to take individual school pictures during

6th grade registration. The make-up date for 6th grade students will be Wednesday, Sept., 3rd)

Friday, August 22 – 8:30 – 11:00 a.m. – 7th grade students – Cafeteria

12:00 – 2:30 p.m. – 8th grade students – Cafeteria

At registration, students will pick up their schedule, order a yearbook (optional and can be done on-line), have picture taken (7th/8th grade only) and receive their locker assignment as well as turn in several forms and documents. The PTSA will also have tables set up for you to turn in membership forms, pick-up calculators and locker pals.

Late registration (for students unable to come on August 21 or August 22) will be Thursday, August 28th from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Unfortunately, you will not be able to have your picture taken at that time. The additional date for pictures to be taken for students unable to attend registration is scheduled for Tuesday, September 3rd.
