Dear University Hills Parents and Students,

It is with the warmest of wishes that I welcome you and your family to University Hills Elementary School for the 2014-2015 school year.  This year our school theme will continue to be University Hills~ A Bucket Filling Community – a school where all people are thoughtful, helpful and respectful to others.  Our goal is to model, reinforce and practice positive behaviors, because we believe better connections enhance student learning.  Bucket fillers make the world a better place by their kind and caring words and actions.  UH has been designated as an official “Bucket Filling” school.  Our community is ready to embrace our new theme to ensure that University Hills is a respectful, caring and safe place to learn.

University Hills is a very special place for learning.  Our dedicated staff, students, and parents work together as a team to provide the best learning experiences for our community.  The University Hills community focuses on high expectations for all learners.   While we strive for excellence in education, we pay close attention to the care and nurturing of our students.  The elementary years are formative and set the foundation for a child’s schooling.  Our outstanding staff is committed to providing the best learning environment possible for the children of University Hills. They are an incredible team dedicated to student learning.

University Hills welcomes parent involvement.  Our PTA is extremely active and works in numerous ways to support our students.  Parents and community members enrich and enhance our school.  Your active participation supports the goals and direction of University Hills.

We would love to have you visit our school often and feel free to ask questions and share ideas.  This is your school, and we are here to serve you in any way possible.

Sincerely,

Amy Grande
