RockStar

Hello!! I am Mrs. Rieck. I am very excited that you are in my class! We will have a wonderful year this year full of adventures and learning! I hope you all had a wonderful summer and are ready to rock and roll into third grade! We will have a chance to meet each other at the World of Welcome on Wednesday, August 30th from 8:30-9:30. I would also like you to pick up the summer selfie page when you come to the World of Welcome, and fill it out over the next week. We will be sharing these pictures the first week of school!

Our first day of school is Tuesday, September 5th. It will be a half day  this year. The first day of school ends at 11:23. Our regular shool day starts at 8:10 and ends 3:13. When you get to school on the first day, you will line up with the other third graders on the black top by the playground. When the first bell rings at 8:05, you may enter the building and walk to our classroom. Our room is located downstairs, room 3-C. We have snack everyday in the morning. Please pack a healthy snack labeled with your name.

What to bring on the first day of school:

  • • A backpack, school supplies, and lunch
  • • One healthy, nut-free snack
  • • Information about pick-up if your child does not ride a bus. What arrangements have been made for picking up your child (School Age Care, Kinder Care, a grandparent, babysitter or neighbor's name who your child can be released to, etc).

If you have chosen to purchase school supplies, please do not put your name on them. We will be sorting them on the first day of school. If you ordered supplies through the PTA, they may be delivered to our classroom after World of Welcome or you may be able to pick up at World of Welcome.. If you did not purchase a supply kit but would like to have your own supplies, the third grade supply list is listed on the University Hills Home Page under the "Files and Folders" Section under my name.

Another note will come home with your child on the first week of school explaining more of the classroom routines and procedures. I am looking forward to getting to know both you and your child. Enjoy the last few days of your vacation! It’s going to be a Fantastic year!
