I am EXCITED to join SCHS and begin my 15th year teaching!

After working at the elementary level for the past 13 years, I followed my heart and accepted a split position at the secondary level for the 2016-17 school year. Teaching at the high school level has always been a goal of mine.  I "got my feet wet" teaching A/S Language Arts at West Middle School and Learning Strategies at Rochester High School. I am thrilled to spend my day and expand my knowledge at the high school level!

My passion for working in special education began during the fullfillment of volunteer hours while competing with Bowling Green State University's volleyball team. I was fortunate to work with and be inspired by the athletes of the Special Olympics. Previous to last school year, I worked at Musson Elementary for 11 years, spending the first two years of my career as a resource room teacher at Brewster Elementary. Some of the roles I have served in the district include: Special Education District Mathematics Comittee representative., Special Education Technology Comittee, and Musson's Cultures of Thinking Team.  My colleagues and former families would describe me as having a great work ethic and a wonderful ability to connect with kids of all ages.

My family and I take great pride in living and working in the community! My husband has taught 5th grade within the district for the past 17 years. Our two children are entering grades 2 and 4. We also have two dogs, Divyt and Lincoln, and an Eyelash Crested Gecko. As a family, we love to spend time outside, compete in various sports, travel to the Great Lakes, as well as spend time poolside. Currently, I am a coach with the Adams High School volleyball program.

I look forward to working as a TEAM with you and your child!
