28 winning students will receive a $2,500 College Savings Scholarship.

HOW IT WORKS AND ELIGIBILITY Once you have completed at least one module of a Finance Academy course (personal finance or entrepreneurship), reflect on what you have learned and submit your contest entry in the form provided above. Suggested length: 300 – 500 words. This scholarship contest is open to any U.S. student in grades 9-12 who has completed at least one module of a Finance Academy course during the 2017 – 2018 school year. Entries must be received by May 7th, 2018 at 5:00pm EST SELECTION OF WINNERS A committee of EVERFI judges will select the final winners no later than June 8th, 2018. Entries will be judged based on the content of message, the quality of writing, and originality. 28 winners will be selected. With written approval, winning entries may be featured by EVERFI and their affiliates. Winners will each receive a $2,500 529 College Savings Scholarship.

2018 Student View Scholarship Program

The 2018 Student View Scholarship Program is offering $11,000 worth of scholarships to high school seniors who plan to attend a four year college, community or career school.  Simply log on to http://www.student-view.com and complete a 15-20 minute application survey about colleges in your area.  Deadline is April 22, 2018

AES Engineer Scholarship

The consulting firm of AES Engineers is committed to continuing its support of higher education by providing scholarships to deserving students. This award is available to all students, regardless of their field of study.

AreaVibes is offering a scholarship.  It would be suitable for anyone enrolled as a full-time high school student or enrolled in any other accredited institute of higher learning. Must be a legal resident of the United States. Must be 16 - 25 years old. Must be currently attending a High School, University or college during the 2017 calendar year.  Provide your 250 word essay (How does Livability play a factor in selecting a college?) before May 31st  2018.

Auto Loan Scholarship

One scholarship worth $1000 will be awarded to help a student achieve his goals of furthering his education. Selection of the recipient is based on the creative video entry. HOW TO APPLY:

1. Create your video(2-5 minute video in which you explain how new ideas will shape the world around us, and why education is the key to creating a brighter future).

Birmingham Area Alumnae Panhellenic Association

The Birmingham Area Alumnae Panhellenic Association is pleased to offer Enrichment Awards up to $500, to provide current high school sophomore, junior, or senior women opportunities to participate in a personal enrichment event related to art, athletics, dance, drama, foreign language, journalism, music, or science. The recipient may use the award to defray program costs, such as enrollment fees, room, or travel. The award may not be used for college tuition and expenses or participation in any activity as a member of a team, club, or organization.

Detroit Association of University of Michigan Women

Detroit Association of University of Michigan Women  is dedicated to supporting women who attend the University of Michigan through scholarships, mentoring and networking. The DAUMW is committed to serving the community and promoting education.  There are 3 $1000 scholarships available.  Applications are in the counseling office and the deadline is April 9.

Huntington Ford Scholarship

Huntington Ford of Rochester Hills has established a scholarship for an incoming freshman student at Oakland University. The student chosen to receive this award will be selected from eligible students who have attended one of four area high schools, including Rochester Adams High School, Avondale High School, Rochester High School, and Stoney Creek High School.

This is a full tuition scholarship awarded to applicants.  For this scholarship award must be an incoming, full­-time freshman for Fall 2018 with financial need, and a demonstrated passion for a specific area of study or extracurricular interest. Applicants must have a minimum 3.30 cumulative high school grade point average in order to apply.

The MRA scholarship competition will offer 19 Scholarships  from $1000-$2000 and it is not based on financial need.  To be eligible your parent must be employed at a business that is a member of MRA.  Applications are available at http://www.retailers.com (Under Education and events tab).  Applications must  submitted by April 2, 2018

Michigan State University Alumni Club of Oakland County

Michigan State University Club of Oakland County Scholarships is available to Oakland County High School Seniors accepted to MSU and plan to attend for 2018-2019 school year. $1,500 is available and all applications are due no later than March 23. This scholarship is not awarded on the basis of financial need but is based on grades, test scores, recommendations and comments. Michigan Youth Appreciation Foundation

Oakland County Lincoln Club

Since 1889, the Oakland County Lincoln Club has held an annual dinner to celebrate the leadership and achievements of Abraham Lincoln and the Republican Party. This year, the Oakland County Lincoln Club Dinner will include a high school essay competition.

The Oakland County Lincoln Club invites high school students to consider the concept of political leadership by writing an essay on the theme: "Land of Opportunity."

Students need to write an original essay of less than 1,000 words.  The award amount is $1,000.  More information is in the counseling office.  The deadline is 4/15

Ohio and Michigan Association of Career Colleges and Schools

Ohio and Michigan Association of Career Colleges and Schools is offering scholarships that will help prepare Michigan's Work Force for tomorrows jobs.  You must be nomintated by a local civic or community leader.  More information is in the counseling office or at www.omaccs.org

REA Benefit Fund Scholarships

The REA is offering a $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to one senior from each high school.  Applications are available in the counseling office and must be returned to the REA Offices no later than April 16.

The Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan

The Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan is pleased to announce that we will be awarding TWO Dakota Pequeno Memorial Scholarships this year! The scholarships are due to the generosity of the Jankowski Family, Roger Vuylsteke, Frank Aron, and The Phoenix Group.

The recipient of the Dakota Pequeno Memorial Scholarship will be a student who has shown perseverance in eliminating obstacles that epilepsy and seizures may present, courage in dealing with epilepsy/seizures, community involvement, and commitment to their education.
