AES Engineer Scholarship

The consulting firm of AES Engineers is committed to continuing its support of higher education by providing scholarships to deserving students. This award is available to all students, regardless of their field of study.

We are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluating the essays that are submitted.

Amount of award: $500.00

Deadline for entry: October 6, 2018

Horatio Alger Association

Scholarship criteria include graduation in 2019 with a commitment to pursue and complete a career or technical certificate/degree.  Must also demonstrate critical financial need, be involved in Co-Curricular and community service activities, display perseverance in overcoming personal adversity, commitment to pursuing a bachelor's degree and United States citizenship.  Minimum GPA of 2.0.  Applications are available at www.scholars.horatioalger.org

National Society Daughters of the American Revolution

National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution is offering a Scholarship opportunity for seniors who demonstrate the outstanding qualities of dependability, leadership, service and patriotism that exemplifies a good citizen.   You are required to write two essays in the presences of a DAR represtative.  Information is available in the counseling office.   The deadline is 11/1.

Officer Collins Memorial Foundation Scholarship

The Officer Collin Rose Memorial Foundation Scholarship honors the memory of fallen Wayne State University Police Officer Collin Rose. He was murdered while on a street investigation in Detroit in November 2016. He was pursuing a master’s degree from the university at the time of his death. Award Amount: $1000.00. This scholarship may be renewed once for the following academic year. Student must request renewal by April 1, 2020 and show proof of continued enrollment in one of the eligibility fields of study while maintaining passing grades. Deadline for application is April 1, 2019.
