Auto Loan Scholarship

One scholarship worth $1000 will be awarded to help a student achieve his goals of furthering his education. Selection of the recipient is based on the creative video entry. HOW TO APPLY:

1. Create your video(2-5 minute video in which you explain how new ideas will shape the world around us, and why education is the key to creating a brighter future).

2. Upload your video to YouTube and title it “Auto Loan Scholarship Program by ”

3. Once your video has been uploaded, email the active YouTube link to: scholarships@auto.loan along with your name, mailing address, and telephone number.

AXA scholarships

The AXA Achievementsm Scholarship provides over $1.4 million in scholarships to young people throughout the nation representing all 50 states, Washington DC and Puerto Rico. Students have the opportunity to receive a $2,500, $10,000 or $25,000 scholarship. In addition, for every student who wins a scholarship, a grant in the amount of $1,000 will be made to the winner's school.

Huntington Ford Scholarship

Huntington Ford of Rochester Hills has established a scholarship for an incoming freshman student at Oakland University. The student chosen to receive this award will be selected from eligible students who have attended one of four area high schools, including Rochester Adams High School, Avondale High School, Rochester High School, and Stoney Creek High School.

This is a full tuition scholarship awarded to applicants.  For this scholarship award must be an incoming, full­-time freshman for Fall 2018 with financial need, and a demonstrated passion for a specific area of study or extracurricular interest. Applicants must have a minimum 3.30 cumulative high school grade point average in order to apply.

Michigan Education Association Scholarship

MEA Scholarships are available for students who graduate from a public high school and plan to attend a Michigan public college or university or technical institution that grants a degree or certification.  These awards are based on academic achievement, extra-curricular activities and school/community service.  Applications available in the counseling center or on line at http://www.mea.org/mea-scholarship.  Applications are due February 22, 2018.

Oakland University Merit Scholarships

Scholarships are available for students who have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and ACT score of 20 OR a SAT score of 1020. or higher.  More information is available at http://www.oakland.edu/scholarships or http://www.oakland.edu/finaid  You must apply by March 1st.

Rochester Community Schools Foundation

The Rochester Community Schools Scholarship information is now posted on the Foundation website.  These scholarships are open to seniors in the Rochester Community Schools.  Students are encouraged to apply.

Scholarships are an investment in our community's future. By connecting donors, nonprofit organizations and leaders to philanthropic opportunities, we can work together to strengthen the Greater Rochester area.

The Rochester Community Schools Foundation and the Community Foundation of Greater Rochester, in partnership with the Kiwanis Club of Rochester and the Rochester Rotary Club, provide area students with a vast array of scholarships to promote continuing education. In 2015, nearly $100,000 scholarships were awarded.

Ryan Fischer Legacy Scholarship

The Purpose of the Award: To REMEMBER and honor the life of Ryan Fischer and all he stood for through his strong faith in God, his passion for his country, his unconditional love for all others and his zeal to live life to its fullest. TO ENCOURAGE AND CHALLENGE area varsity hockey players to live a life that represents the integrity, character and sportsmanship that Ryan displayed in all facets of his life. To RECOGNIZE one senior varsity hockey (boy or girl) player that best reflects Ryan's life. To ESTABLISH and promote a standard for all amateur athletes.

The award will be known as the "Ryan Fischer Legacy Award" and will be a one-of-a-kind trophy and a one-time college scholarship to the school of the recipient's choice. The value of the scholarship will be based on the assets available. The name of the recipient will also be placed on permanent plaques in Grandville High School and the home ice arena for the Grandville High School ice hockey team.

Nominations for the award will be made by head varsity hockey coaches in the state of Michigan. The award will be presented each spring after the conclusion of the MHSAA playoffs at the Michigan Hockey Magazine High School Hockey Awards Banquet.

Criteria: Senior in High School with a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA Accepted to a university or universities - Scholarship made payable to university only Must have lettered in at least two varsity sports including hockey Must be of high moral character, demonstrate a strong faith in God, a love for this country and be committed to community service Must also demonstrate outstanding sportsmanship, exceptional leadership, integrity and a positive attitude. The goal of the Ryan Fischer Legacy Scholarship committee is to establish an endowment fund capable of sustaining the scholarship for an indefinite period.

U of M Club of Greater Detroit Scholarships

Deadline is January 19, 2018.  Twelve unique scholarships opportunties for qulaity students who will be incoming Freshman.  Applications are at www.umclubgreaterdetroit.org    Information is available on their web page or in the counseling office.  To be eligible you must EITHER have an ACT of 31 or higher, SAT socre of 1430 or higher or be in the top 1% of your graduating class.
