Rochester Community Schools offers a wide variety of academic programs for grades 6 – 12 specializing in both skill building and higher level academic enrichment classes in Sessions 1 and 2. For grades 9 – 12, there is a full array of online classes available during all 3 sessions.
Session 1 begins June 19, 2013 and ends July 8, 2013. Session 2 begins July 9, 2012, and ends July 25, 2013.Session 3 is the all online session and it begins July 29, 2013 and ends August 13, 2013
The Summer Learning Program will be held at Van Hoosen Middle School with a few classes held at Adams High School. The (SLP) brochure has information regarding session dates, fees, and locations and information regarding Summer Music Theatre (SMT).
Classes are available for viewing on April 1, 2013 in the district's Online Payment site. On April 15, 2013, online registration will open for Summer Learning Program classes and Summer Music Theatre. All registration / payments for SLP and SMT will be online. There will be no mail in registration. THERE WILL NOT BE A PHYSICAL EDUCATION / WELLNESS / HEALTH LOTTERY THIS YEAR. Due to the online registration process, classes will be filled on a first come, first served basis. For those families who do not have internet access for the registration process or a credit card for online payment, computers to complete the process will be available in the counseling office at your student's school. Payment for SLP and SMT classes can be left with the business secretary in your child's school after online registration is completed in the office. Payments can also be made in the business office at the Rochester Community Schools business office located at 501 W. University.
To begin the registration process, an authorization form MUST be signed by your student's counselor. Authorization forms will be available from your student's school counselor by the end of March. The authorization form will have the name of the class, signature of the counselor, and directions for the online registration process. For out of district students, authorization forms will be available at ACE High School, located at 1440 John R, Rochester Hills. Registrations that do not have an authorization form on file will not be processed.
