Beginning English
The beginning classes help students with little or no English to learn or improve their speaking, listening, reading, writing, spelling, and pronunciation in survival situations. Students are provided with a friendly atmosphere to support their learning of a second language.

Intermediate English
The intermediate classes help students move from understanding simple topics using all the language skills to more standard or un-adapted topics and materials. Students recognize and use correct intermediate grammatical structures with a focus on phrasal verbs and idiomatic expressions.

Low-Advanced English
A variety of experiences in and outside the classroom help students function independently and more confidently in the community and use idiomatic vocabulary as building blocks to improve and develop students’ listening, speaking, reading, writing, spelling, pronunciation, and thinking in English. Students work with more complex language structures and abstract academic concepts through study and discussion of local and national culture.

Advanced Conversation (Advanced conversation is not being offered winter of 2014)
Enjoy advanced conversations in a stimulating and supportive environment. Politics, culture, life skills, and community resources will be explored.
GO English (Goal-oriented English) (GO English is not being offered winter of 2014)
GO ESL is for students to improve their English skills in:
  • Speaking
  • Business English
  • TOEFL or MELAB test scores
  • Study Skills for College or University Classes
  • Effective Written Communication
Through testing and discussing student's goals, the teacher will help students target and work on specific areas of English that need improvement. Lessons will be taught individually, in pairs, and in large groups. Also, students will be using the Internet and Moodle (an online management system) to practice, to complete homework, and to communicate with the teacher and other students in the classroom; however, no computer experience is required. Join us and reach your goals!
