 Enrichment for Youth and Adults

The Winter/Spring 2010 Community Education & Enrichment Program Guide is available and Registration is open!

The Winter/Spring 2010 Rochester Community Education & Enrichment Program Guide is now available for registration; to view the Winter/Spring 2010 guide, click on our link at the bottom of the Enrichment page. Don't forget to view the events and activities offered by Dinosaur Hill and Rochester Community House and call them directly to register. RCS Enrichment registration is available immediately for all classes and activities except children's group swim - see the information on page 42. Double check our refund policies on page four of the Enrichment guide, or in the folder at the bottom of this Enrichment page. Please read them carefully for camps, private music lessons, lifeguarding & WSI classes, and semi-private & private swim lessons refund information. 

Winter is a great time for fun! Kids, have fun with Enrichment activities from Lacrosse to Tennis, Karate or Golf lessons. New Drumming Lessons with Joe Chila in downtown Rochester. Enjoy Music lessons and Private Piano lessons, Get moving with Gymnastics, or have a great time with the new Rochester Pickle Ball Club for Teens and Families. Don’t forget to drop in on Tuesday/Thursday nights for Rochester Table Tennis Club, and Sportz Allstarz Winter Co-ed Basketball and Girls Volleyball is gearing up. Improve your athletic ability with our SPARQ Speed and Agility Camp taught by Coach Jackson or improve your Bsketball skills with the Winter Basketball Camp with Coach Pleasant. Girls Empowered try our Girl Scouts Night Out! Winter is the perfect times to learn to swim, learn to life guard or learn to teach swim lessons in our Aquatics program. Pre-school tots have a wonderful variety to choose from; Kindermusik - ABC & Me, Our Time or Village, gymnastics or swimming lessons, and Little Tennis at LifeTime Fitness. For babies and toddlers we now offer Baby Sign language classes for parent and child!

 Adults, take some leisure time for yourself; Traditional Chen style  and new Fan Style Tai Chi is taught once again by Han Wang, update your software skills with our MS Office 2007 classes or explore a new subject with ed2go online instruction, learn to buy and sell on eBay, keep fit this fall with new fitness classes such as Zumba set to Latin music and Fitness Fusion for Ages 50+; step to our wonderful dance instruction in the latest dance styles; get in the swing with our Golf lessons, act now to make financial changes in response to your job/retirement situation; learn how to ride a motorcycle safely this spring, or learn a new language - we have German Language lessons in addition to French, Spanish and Italian. Over a dozen ways to supplement your income including Work Savvy classes and Builder’s Pre-License certification classes, or admire your hand-made jewelry or stained glass; make beautiful music as you learn to play the piano or guitar with private lessons or apply your creative skills at art workshops and DIY Home Projects. It’s time for Winter Comfort cooking and new Gourmet Cupcake & Candy creations after the holidays. Our new Aqua Aerobics Instructor is ready to help you gently or vigorous get fit and listen to what kinds of classes you would like. As always we offer community favorites too numerous to mention!

High School students improve your swing at Tennis lessons at LifeTime Fitness, challenge yourself with Karate or Golf, explore your creative side with drumming, piano or guitar lessons, and don't forget Driver's Education.

Our popular lifelong learning programs offer approximately 1500 classes year-round to people of all ages. The Rochester Community Education and Enrichment Program Guide is mailed to all Rochester Community Schools district residents in August, December and April each year. BASES (Before/After School Enrichment Services for elementary school students) and Intramural (after-school activities and sports for middle school students) brochures are sent home with the students in the early winter and are also available at the bottom of our Enrichment web page. Watch for Language classes for Pre-school and Elementary students in our Winter 2010 BASES flyer coming home with your Elementary student in January!
