Student Council is a leadership group of 7th and 8th grade students at Hart Middle School.  Students complete an application in the spring of the previous year for Student Council.  Students are selected for Student Council based on the quality of their application and teacher recommendations.

Hart's Student Council supports our school and the greater Rochester area through activities that include a food drive for the Rochester Neighborhood House, donations to Rainbow Connection of Oakland County, and a blanket making initiative for the Baldwin Community Shelter in Pontiac.  Student Council also plans and runs school assemblies and activity to encourage student involvement and school spirit.

Student Council members:  Student Council information is sometimes sent by email.  If you are not receiving emails, please send an email to Mrs. Lane or Mrs. Spach to be added to the informational mailouts.

Student Council Application Process begins in the Spring of each school year.  Applications for the 2018-19 school year were submitted in May of 2018.

Student Council applications are now being accepted for the 2018-2019 school year.  Students currently in the 6th and 7th grade may complete an application that must be turned in by Monday, May 22nd, 2018.  Late applications will not be considered or accepted.

The application should be completed carefully and with the effort expected of a student wishing to represent Hart to our community.  Two teacher recommendations are required as part of the application process.  Interviews with candidates will be completed prior to the end of the school year.  Notifications of acceptance to Student Council will be mailed the last week of school.
