Welcome to Miss Gough's Class!

This is my 7th year teaching, and I'm thrilled to say I've spent all seven years here at RCS! It is both an honor and privilege to work in a community as wonderful as Rochester, with families and colleagues who are second to none.  Not a day goes by where I don't think about how grateful I am to be apart of this town, doing what I love- teaching.

I don't have a "moment" where I decided I wanted to be a teacher. Instead, I have a series of moments- those of feeling inspired by the passion of influential teachers I had, humbling conversations with family members who were in education- that collectively led me to decide on teaching. As early as middle school, I knew I wanted to devote my life to something that could make a difference in a profound way. Once I got to college and had to made that fateful decision about what I wanted to major in, it clicked for me... working with kids in the content areas I love through teaching.  Choosing education as my path was one of the easiest decisions I'v made.  I'm so glad I did, too.  Each and every day I am amazed by the humor, wisdom, and unique views of the world my students bring with them into the classroom.  It it because of my students that I stay inspired to grow as a professional and person- to work harder and do better.  I hope my students know I will, in turn, never give up on them and their pursuits to grow as learners and people.

Below are links and files that are intended to be helfpul with our class.  Please note that I use Google Classroom as our official classroom webpage - a home away from our classroom home- which is where you can find more detail information to say up to date on the course. I am always just a visit, phone call or email way, so please never hesitate to get ahold of me! Looking forward to a great year!
