Rochester Community Schools celebrated the completion of the bond construction projects at Rochester High School during a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Dr. Shaner thanked the many people who were responsible for the success of the project. They include Frank Rewold and Son, French Associates, Convergent Technologies, RCS staff and administrators, and the members of the Board of Education. Special recognition was provided to the Rochester High School teachers and staff for their hard work and determination to ensure the building was beautiful and ready for our students on September 5. Improvements include securing the main entrance, renovating the media center, replacing skylights, resurfacing the parking areas, and expanding the performing arts lobby and band and choir room—just to name a few. The stadium was expanded to include an eight-lane track with seating for 1,800 home guests and 750 visitors and enhanced accommodations for those with special needs.
