2015 Highlander Marching Band
Known as "The Pride of Rochester", the Highlander Marching Band (HMB) begins practice in June just before school is out along with rehearsals prior to Band Camp.  Band Camp takes place during one week (Sunday-Friday) in late July/early August and consists of marching & music rehearsals along with fun activities as members learn the annual pregame & halftime show.

During the school year, rehearsals are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at 6:30am; and Monday 6:00-9:00pm unless otherwise stated.

All Marching Band members who will be absent, need to arrive late, or need to leave early from a scheduled Marching Band event must contact Mr. Ferden as soon as possible directly via email, phone, or in person to notify him.   As per Rochester Community Schools guidelines, Marching Band is a course in which a grade and credit is given.   Attendance is taken at all scheduled events and prompt attendance is expected of all members.

Along with AHS football games, the HMB participates in the Rochester Art & Apples Festival, MSBOA District XVI Marching Band Festival, Sarnia Kinsmen Christmas Parade of Lights, and Rochester Hometown Christmas Parade.  Recently, the HMB has performed at Washington DC, New York City, and Orlando FL.
